What kind of Equipment do you use?
At Performance DJ we believe that great service is derived first from a great entertainer and second from excellent equipment. That means only the highest quality, all professional grade DJ equipment will show up at your location the day of your event! This includes QSC and Crown amps, Behringer boards, Shure microphones, Chauvet and Martin lighting, and JBL speakers and subs.

How does my DJ come dressed to my events?
IN WHATEVER YOU WANT! You hire us, we are there to make your event a success, and part of DJing is being presentable (as we say DJing is more than just playing music). If you want your DJ to wear a suit, a tux, a Hawaiian shirt, or our standard company shirts, that is no problem! Just let us know your attire preference. And bear in mind that no DJ or DJ company should ever charge you extra if you request for the DJ to wear a tux!

Can I meet with you beforehand? See you perform?
Not only can you meet with us beforehand, I encourage you too! DJing is a huge part of any event, and hiring the right company to do your event is as important as giving that company a feel for you and exactly what you want. Performance DJ loves to meet with all of our clients prior to their events so you can meet and get comfortable with your DJ and we can find out exactly what you want at your event in terms of music ect. Meetings do not have to be in person, we can plan your entire event by phone or e-mail if you prefer. Unfortunately, you cannot see our DJs perform at another event prior to your event. Chances are you would not want us bringing strangers to your special event so we do not allow other clients to come. When we are at an event, that event, the coordinator, and its participants are our sole concern.

What kind of music do you play?
This is probably the easiest question I get! We will play whatever you want played at your event. This is half the reason it is so important for us to meet prior to your event so that we can take down any special requests you have and your preferable genre to better be prepared. Regardless of what you request, Performance DJ will bring their entire collection of music to every event! If there are minors in attendance at your event Performance DJ will only play the clean, radio-edited versions of songs.

Do you take requests?
We love nothing more than taking requests! As long as it is alright with your for your guests to make them and they are within your stipulations for the music.

How many events do you do a day? How far apart are they?
Our DJs only do ONE event a day. This allows for your DJ to be fully rested and prepared for your event. In most cases our DJs will spend the entire day previewing music, making lists, and packing equipment just to prepare for you. Only having one event a day also alows our DJs the flexibility to play overtime should you like them to.

How early before the event do you arrive?
Our DJs will arrive at your event beween 1 and 1.5 hours before your event begins (you are not billed for setup time, only performance time). This allows us ample time for setup and to get settled in. It also helps if there is an unforeseen obstacle such as stairs (a DJs worst enemy).
